2014 In Review: The Best Scotch Whiskies

December 22, 2014

As we begin the breakouts for Distiller’s 2014 Whisky (and Whiskey) Year in Review here at Distiller, first up comes from Scotland. While we opted to breakout via region instead of genre, some interesting tidbits do arise.

As we look at the Most Collected bottles, we find a clear cross-section of the largest brands in Scotland, with over half being specifically Peated Whiskies. The Peated trend continues in Wishlisted bottles and additionally, users wish far more heavily for Single Malts over Blends, indeed every bottle in Most Wished For is Single Malt.
