New Spirit Releases - December 6, 2024 - High West, New Riff, and More!

This collaboration between High West Distillery and Casa Noble Tequila features a blend of rye whiskeys finished primarily in French oak barrels that once held Marqués de Casa Noble Añejo Tequila. A small portion was finished in amburana wood barrels. Both Indiana-based MGP rye (95% rye, 5% malted barley) and High West Rye (80% rye, 20% malted rye) were used with the whiskeys ranging from 4-10 years-old. New Riff Winter Whiskey is a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey made with a unique mash bill. It's made with 65% corn, 20% malted oats, 7% pale ale malt, 5% steel cut raw oats, and 3% chocolate malt. The whiskey is aged at least 4 years and is bottled in bond. It's bottled at 100 proof without chill-filtration. First released in 2020, this annual release is available each winter season both online and at select retailers. (SRP $54.99)

This is the seventh limited edition Christmas release from Paul John. It is an unpeated Indian single malt featuring some malt finished in Caribbean rum cask as well as malt matured in virgin oak casks. It's bottled without chill-filtration at 92 proof. There are 7,000 bottles for the US with availability beginning December 2024. (SRP $79.99-84.99)

Jimmy's Batch is the fourth bourbon batch release from Booker's for 2024. The batch is named after one of Booker Noe's dearest peers, competitors, and friends — the legendary Master Distiller Jimmy Russell. This batch was made on three different production dates and stored in four different warehouses. Aged for 7 years, 9 months, and 19 days, this was bottled uncut and unfiltered at 125.8 proof (62.9% ABV). Available nationwide beginning November 2024. (SRP $99.99)

This limited edition release is from The 117 Series which focuses on innovation and experimentation. Here, only bourbon aged in the heat-cycled Warehouse I was selected and only from the hottest floors. Aged for 11 years, this is bottled at 95 proof and sold in 375ml bottles. Availability begins on December 5, 2024 at Old Forester Distillery as well as online sales to states where its legal and at select Kentucky retailers. (SRP $64.99)

This limited edition bourbon from Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co. features their Town Branch Bourbon (72% corn, 15% rye, 13% malted barley) finished in freshly decanted Kentucky Maple Barrel Imperial Stout which they also produce. That brew spent 18 months in bourbon barrels that had been used to age maple syrup. While there were 750 cases produced for 2023, there are just 300 cases for 2024. Availability begins nationwide beginning December 2024. (SRP $69.99)
