10Rich & SpicyFrom the brainchild of Tomas Estes and Carlos Camareña, Tequila Ocho is the first and only single-estate vintage tequila on the market. Sourcing agave from individual ranches and then using only that distillate allows Ocho to represent true terrior and seasonality with each expression. The estate of Los Fresno’s undulates between 2068m and 2078m and at the time of harvest (late April 2013) each agave was on average 7 years of age and had a sugar concentration of about 27.6% due to the lack of rain.

Since all agave is harvested from individual family farms, each is allowed to showcase nuances found only at those estates. El Refugio is located at 2055m above sea level and has soils rich in red iron oxide. Agave from this area and climate have a very high sugar content.

The agave is grown 1600 meters above sea level in gray clay soil, which it shares with Guamuchile trees, in south-facing slopes which benefit from full sunlight.

6TartThis 100% agave tequila is distilled in Los Altos of Jalisco by Enrique Fonseca Cerda, Master Distiller. Distilled twice, the first time in a stainless-steel alembic pot-still and a second time in a copper pot-still. Their reposado is aged for 9 months in French oak barrels.

3Rich & SpicyTo celebrate 10 years of business, Siembra Azul founder David Suro decided to tap his playful side and combined a reposado (aged between 2 - 12 months) with a touch of extra añejo (aged 3 - 5 years). All the agave used was between 5 - 8 years old at harvest, distilled in a combination of copper and stainless steel pots as well as column stills. All of the distillate was aged in new Missouri white oak. Pushing the boundaries of tequila, this rare limited edition was created at the family distillery of Feliciano Vivanco y Asociados.

2Rich & EarthyAs part of the second release of the Expresiones de Corazón, a special blend of tequila was made using agave from Los Altos, Jalisco with brix measured for sweetness before harvesting. Some were harvested with higher sugar, some with lower. The resulting blanco was then added to select ex-Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels and aged for several months.
