Kilkerran 8 Year Old Cask Strength - Sherry Cask Matured 2022
Single Malt — Campbeltown, Scotland
Reviewed June 26, 2022Campeltown characteristic saltiness drowns out the pleasant sweet sherry notes. Another miss for the distillery and the region. -
Kilkerran 8 Year Old Cask Strength - Port Cask Matured 2022
Single Malt — Campbeltown , Scotland
Reviewed June 26, 2022My exploration of a dozen Campbeltown samples has been disappointing. Seems overrated, an acquired taste at best. This is salty, more port in the mid palate (a ton) than I’ve tasted in any single malt scotch, then licorice, pepper, and berries in the finish. More interesting than good. -
Glen Scotia 18 Year
Single Malt — Campbeltown, Scotland
Reviewed June 24, 2022 (edited November 1, 2022)Salted pretzel drams aren’t my thing. Is the 25 yr any better? -
Glen Scotia Victoriana Cask Strength
Single Malt — Campbeltown, Scotland
Reviewed June 24, 2022 (edited January 14, 2023)More shit from this distillery. Similar to the putrid taste of the double cask expression w some highland style peat notes layered in. Too spicy finish from the abv as well. Poorly made. Pass. -
