Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland

Prefer the 15, the sherry notes get weaker with youth. But still nice. Not as good as macallan 18, whereas glengoyne 18 and 21 are each on par with mac 18 if not better.

Excellent dram but not betteor even very different from a sherried Islay of similar age eg Laphroaig. Kind if tastes like what an older Kilchoman might taste like in a decade. Too expensive and hard to find to seek out a bottle of this

Very nice and the review is spot on. Nice balance of earthy and fruit flavors but the taste isn’t very rich nor is there much viscosity here

Good taste similar to macallan more towards the orange end of the sherry spectrum than balsamic. Lacks richness due to very low abv.

Coming back to this after almost 2 weeks of not drinking, I can taste lots of smoke and other complex flavors like pineapple and other sweet stuff. Nice. Compared to Vida basic expression which also tastes much smokier than I remember but not much complexity there

Simple but nice fir what it is. Highland peat more intense than either ballechin or highland park. Nice sherry notes underneath. Tried it at Corner Stone Pizza in Ogunquit ME
