Again wasn’t impress with all the impressions that Bardstown had to offer.

Not for me. Super tannic, clingy and kind of ruins your palate.

Meh. Nothing too complex. The typical bourbon flavors but kind of toned down.

Tbh don’t remember liking it much. That oily mustiness I’m not a fan of in Egan is here. Ethanol was strong for the proof. Not a lot of nuance.

Very fruity as advertised. You get the green apple right away. Some plum with citrus too. Beautiful nose. Palate is not as balanced or pleasant as the nose, but still enjoyable. Exceeded my expectations.

Once you pass the ethanol it’s beautiful. Some classic speyside notes and a slight sour sweetness on the nose that expect from Pomegranate. Barrel tannins were a little heavy on the palate, but the dark berry notes make it’s a very enjoyable sip.

I love the Heigold. So I wasn’t surprised when I loved nosing the Dareringer. Sherry impact is heavy, but you still get the beautiful black tea and floral notes I get from Heigold. Palate is a lot more vanilla, caramel and cherry, more traditional bourbon notes. But I can nose this all day without even taking a sip and I will be completely fine.

Loved it. Beautifully balanced scotch. Apricot, plum, brine, honey and applewood smoked bacon notes were beautifully compounded together. I could smell and sip this all day everyday. Jura has become the go to brand for most night when I am hanging out with friends. Everyone loves it.

Ash, rubber and bandaid notes are overpowering. Usually I’m a big fan of Islay juice, but this one is not for me. I prefer the campfire, bbq smoke more than the ashy smoke. After you leave the whisky in the glass for 5-10 minutes it opens up. honey and briny notes come through the heavy ash

Reminded me of highland malts with a bit of smoke. Very pleasant. After you let the juice to rest in the glass for a few minutes it opens up. Butter scotch, citrusy, floral and ash. Not too complex but the medium body and bite makes up for it.
