On the rocks. Still a slight mint, chocolate flavor, but more Creme Brule taste comes through when chilled. Smoother profile, but still a bit spicy (baking spice).

First dram ever! Cinnamon and green apple! Very spicy, but nice caramel too. Might be my favorite Buffalo Trace product based on first impressions.

Woody, with dark berries and caramel. A little coffee or tea in there. Second store pick of the year from the local A&B.

On ice sphere. Cuts the pepper spice that's in it neat, and brings out more caramel and butterscotch. Not bad, but closer to a budget bourbon.

Rich caramel, with a slight chocolate intro. Burnt sugar is lightly dancing in the background with some vanilla. Such a great budget bourbon.

The last pour of the bottle. It's a special bourbon. I'm getting that big vanilla and cinnamon, a light dark cherry, clove, a little chocolate and coffee even which I get more prominently in the 1910, but is welcome here as a background flavor. Just a damn good sip. An all time favorite here.
