Delicious and deserving of all the amazing reviews. Smooth and maybe a little nutty. The peat in this one is really sweet and delicate, oils have receded. Thanks @sscheck for pouring me a few of these tonight.

Buttery and smooth, yummy and easy to like. Not a lot going on, but what is there I really liked. This is the polar opposite of the Ardbeg I had the other day if you know what I mean. Enjoyed a dram at @pkplatypus house on a Monday night.

Delicious bold and a little sweet. Just smelling it is fun. A rare scotch that is just yummy and fun to drink while not costing a fortune. Tasted this at the Glenmorangie tasting with @sscheck and @pkplatypus.

Delicious, rich and raisiny. I don’t smoke cigars but I can see how this would pair beautifully. Smooth but not too smooth, they didn’t over age this so all the character is gone. Yummy. Tasted with @pkplatypus around my kitchen table on a Saturday afternoon.

Thanks to my parents for buying me a bottle of this excellent Balvenie for my birthday. I had this years ago and enjoyed it. Tonight I am reminded how nice and sweet this is. It might be a little too sweet for some people but I really enjoy it. Not as super complex as others from Balvenie but a solid example of just a great Scotch. Can’t wait to have some more.

Well this is special. Smooth and delicious, nice and a little spice. A beautiful finish and just so smooth. Perfect for a special occasion - I had some at my brother’s house on a Monday night while watching “The Mummy” sequel.

Wow I am not a fan. Kind of oily to start, and just not tasty at all. I would even say not at all even pleasant. Almost sour. I would avoid.

Maybe I’m missing something but I found this to be kind of bland. Yes it’s a little fruity and a creamy finish but other than that I found it to be unremarkable. I was tasting this with other big bold single malts at the time, but still, this one failed to hold its own. Disappointed in this $100+ 18 year old.

Delicious and a lot going on. Peat and sweet and smooth. Complex and somewhat unexpected. A little honey and a nice finish. Seems a bit more mature than a 13 would be. I just started the bottle and I’m looking forward to having some more.

This was a smooth and enjoyable bourbon. While I generally prefer single malt scotch, this was really enjoyable and I went through the bottle pretty quickly. Not too sweet.
