Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Small Batch Bottled in Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 29, 2019 (edited September 29, 2019)Nice sweet vanilla nose. Taste starts with a little spice and cinnamon that is not overbearing and quickly transitions to a sweet vanilla. The taste is long with good complexity. Towards the end I get some clove flavors. Really great bourbon for the money and I prefer this EHT compared with Blanton’s. -
Nice nose of sweet and wood notes. Taste is big in wood and pepper with some citrus towards the end. Not much bite or alcohol burn and good complexity that hangs around for a good time. Like the bottle and cork, my wife broke the agave-styled cork & this beauty now sits on top of our whisky cabinet front and center in a glass decanter.
