Angel's Envy Bourbon Finished in Port Wine Barrels
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 17, 2019Very smooth and unique bourbon. The port barrels add a pleasant twist to this sipper. Good neat or with ice, light oak sweetness and port are the main flavor profiles I was able to recognize. Definitely a solid choice if you are looking for a good unique whiskey.49.0 USD per Bottle -
For a value single barrel, Evan Williams single barrel (2011) is a very pleasant sipper! My experience with single barrels (which I admit is fairly limited) can be hit or miss. This year must have been a decent one. This sipper has a light mouthfeel with distinct oakiness and a sweet/candied peppery finish. If you haven’t tried it before, I recommend grabbing a bottle. Again for a single barrel that is sub $30 it is a good value!29.0 USD per Bottle

Bulleit Rye
Rye — Indiana (bottled in Kentucky), USA
Reviewed November 17, 2019 (edited February 14, 2020)Unlike bulleit bourbon, I was quite impressed with the rye! The taste right off the bat was light, crisp, peppery, with a hint of citrus. The finish was oaky and short. Overall it was a very refreshing sipper near or mellowed in ice.28.0 USD per Bottle -
I had heard good things about bulleit, but i was not a huge fan of it. To me the flavor profile lacked complexity (which some people like). Because of this I believe that bulleit lives up to its claim as a frontier bourbon. When you think of western movies and cowboys drinking whiskey, bulleit immediately comes to mind.30.0 USD per Bottle

Larceny Barrel Proof Single Barrel

EC is one of my go to sippers! For its value I think it stands out in the $20-30 range (and arguably 40-50). I never had the chance to try it before the age statement was removed (8-12 years I believe) but it still has the deep color seen in more mature bottles. The taste starts with balanced with hints of oak, spice, and sweet. The finish is peppery with subtle hints of vanilla. Again highly recommend for its value!26.0 USD per Bottle
