Westland Sherry Wood American Single Malt
American Single Malt — Washington , USA
Reviewed September 9, 2021 (edited September 10, 2021)I was pleasantly surprised with this bottle. The sherry was not over the top, but had a really nice dark cherry and raisin nose. That continues on in the palate that included some maltiness and aged oak. Easy to drink and i kept going to the bottle for extra pours. -
Kirkland 22 Year Speyside Single Malt Sherry Cask Finish
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed August 13, 2021 (edited November 29, 2021)oh boy, this one is a winner especially for $80! The nose is amazing with dried figs and sweet oak; this might be the nest part of the experience. the palate follows through with nice sherry influence but not overly so. Both the palate and finish have a great oakyness which I'm a big fan of.80.0 USD per Bottle -
Woodford Reserve Master's Collection Chocolate Malted Rye Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 9, 2021On the nose you get red and green chile spice. And on the palate is where you get more of the cholately notes. Really interesting and tasty. The finish brings out the heavy oak flavor that Woodford’s standard bottling is known for. This offering remind me a lot of the cherry wood smoked barley in the way that a little malted grain really changes the profile. Lastly, this sip feels hotter than it’s 45% abv which is another thing it has in common with the cherry wood Masters Collection.95.0 USD per Bottle
