Brown sugar, a hint of tobacco and dark candied fruit sweetness. Woody spice that briefly lights up your mouth before fading to a dry lingering finish. I can why people like it. It's smooth for a rye and it’s got great initial flavour. The dry charred finish is what holds it back for me. I prefer the classic rye style of Sazerac or Wiser's Legacy. $40 in Ontario.40.0 CAD per Bottle

Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed June 30, 2017 (edited August 17, 2018)Though "vague" the Distiller notes are pretty accurate. I taste a good deal of spice as well. Charred oak, cereal, toffee and caramel. Not as rich or as smooth as Blanton's. In my opinion it's similar to but even a step down from Elijah Craig 12 Yr/Small Batch and Four Roses Single Barrel because it's not quite as smooth or as sweet. $55 in Ontario.55.0 CAD per Bottle -
Casamigos Reposado Tequila
Tequila Reposado — Los Altos, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed June 30, 2017 (edited August 17, 2018)Like the blanco the underlying flavour is decent, muted. The aging brings out a hint of roasted agave and removes some of the cloying sweetness of the blanco. It's still too sweet for my taste. Considering the light flavour profile it could be smoother. Milagro is about equal quality (less sweetness) for half the price. $70 in Ontario.70.0 CAD per Bottle -
Siempre Tequila Plata
Tequila Blanco — Los Altos, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed June 27, 2017 (edited August 17, 2018)Sweet vegetal agave, brine, and peppery spice. While it's got good flavour it's a bit dry and salty for my taste. $70 in Ontario.70.0 CAD per Bottle -

Tequila Tromba Reposado
Tequila Reposado — Los Altos, Mexico
Reviewed June 7, 2017 (edited August 17, 2018)Smooth, decent flavour but nothing special. It's less sweet than the blanco but still sweet for my taste. If you want a sweet reposado spend the extra $10 and get Casamigos. $60 in Ontario.60.0 CAD per BottleTaco Farm -
Milagro Reposado Tequila
Tequila Reposado — Los Altos, Jalisco, Mexico
