Glenfiddich Fire & Cane
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed April 5, 2021 (edited July 11, 2021)On the nose, a little bit of wet leaf and burned wood. The aroma is sharp and brittle. At times, it gives of a phantom sweet, milky aroma with touches of red berries. On the palette, it is mildly smokey with a hint of brown sugar. It is warm and heavy. Slightly burns the tongue. The aftertaste is rather syrupy and grippy. -
On the nose, so sweet and pleasant. The sweetness appears to be of caramel origin, but probably also of sugar. On the palette, its quite stingy. The warmth spreads slowly and continues to pulsate with heat and sugar. At the end, it leaves a drying feeling in the mouth, as if you swallowed plenty of sugar.

The nose is fresh and crisp. I am finding it very difficult to pinpoint anything specific. If anything, I can only say that there may be citrus in there. On the palette, however, I sense vanilla which comes bursting forth and then, a faint but lingering orange. The flavor is rich and vibrant. There is a lot of color in it.

Pear and butterscotch on the nose for this one. I also get floral notes, very strong ones overall, but I cannot pinpoint anything directly. A little bit of liquor smell? Maybe. When I taste this, I can definitely tell that it is rather light and almost, airy. I find it difficult to pinpoint anything specific. Herbal notes for sure, but its a mystery for me.
