Tastes

Strong sherry aroma sweetness on the nose. Flavor is complex and interesting, caramel and sherry, richer than the other two. Same spice as the other two, but the complexity is best here. Spice tail is a little much, but not unpleasant. Great blend, one of the better Canadians I've had.

Faint aroma, hint of the congac. Canadian spice, but more mellow. Still tons of sharp flavor (in a good way) but you can taste the sweetness of the cognac blending with it. An improvement on the red label.

Smell is mellow, but flavor is fiery. High rye flavor, super spicy. Little body, but good fire. Spice lingers for a while, pretty nice. Especially compared to Canadians I've tried.

Bold and spicy, tons of flavor and body. Excellent rye kick, no soapy flavor, plenty of lingering pepper and cinnamon on the tail. Give it a good amount more richness and it would be fantastic.

Musty rich smell. Complex and aged. Smells fantastic. Flavor is mellow at first, then develops into a dark, aged blend of wood and subtle sweetness. Tastes metaphorically like an old mahogany desk. My favorite Irish whiskey, which says something, because I don't typically like those.

Heavy grassy aroma. Green and floral. Complex flavors, grassy and sweet, but with much more kick than Irish. Spice with the tail burn, medium rich, I like the layers of flavor. Wood, sweetness, spice. Well done.

Dark toffee aroma, molasses. Lighter flavor though. Sweet, caramel, some light peachy fruit. Medium body. Vanilla sweetness is good but a little overpowering. More sour on the tail.

Rich and fiery, high proof. Aroma is cereals. Mostly young oak on the tongue, good amount of bite. Rich, but lacking in flavor.

Powerful bourbon aroma, smells high proof and deep. Rich flavor, pretty spicy along with your standard bourbon fare. More cinnamon than pepper, good body and excellent balance. Well done, cinnamon commands a touch too much attention.

Light toffee aroma, faint. Initial hit is a little sour, like green apple. Slowly evolves into a more fiery Carmel like you'd expect, a bit of a journey.
