I’m almost done with my bottle, thank god! This bottle has everything I love in bourbon. Sweetness Oaky Smokey But there is something wrong with this combination. There is this after taste with this bourbon that should not be there.

This is one of the best bourbon that is available in Virginia right now. Nice complex flavor profile.

A week open: Nose: fruity alcohol with notes of oak. Taste: creamy and full of flavor. Dried fruits with some Smokey oak, peanuts. It’s a good pour if you have a $100 sitting around.

First tasting. Nose: lots of berries, some spice Taste: dried fruit hits first then I get some dark chocolate and spice. The chocolate flavor stays for several minutes. Now for $109 in Virginia I will have to get back to you on whether it’s worth the price.

This batch just doesn’t have the nice rye spice. There is just no wow factor with this one. Sweet tea like taste.

So I’ve had this open for a couple of months and I haven’t enjoyed until last night. Served neat. Nice mixtures to taste and smell. With warm wine undertones. I don’t know if it’s worth the $130 price but still a good rye.

I don’t know if it’s the fact that in Virginia we can’t find any of my regular bourbons right now but this has been my go to bourbon lately. It has a little smoke and a nice sweetness to it. It has a good proof. I’ve been enjoying it neat, but with the proof it make good for a nice cocktail.

Wow! I love the Smokey sweet flavor to this whiskey. Nose: smoked. Candy. Taste: a sweet smokey fruity taste. Finish: the smoke comes through on the finish. Delicious The 122 proof doesn’t show its self.

Intriguing whiskey. If you enjoy beer this is your thing.
