Nose- Honey and honeysuckle flowers Body- The honey comes through at first but is then followed by prominent rye notes of cinnamon, black pepper, and brine. Finish- As the heat dies away, the honey comes back with just a hint of lemon in a fairly long finish. A nice pour for the price but has just a bit of that earthy WT funk that I am not a huge fan of.

George Dickel TABASCO Brand Barrel Finish
Flavored Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed September 21, 2018I’m not going to do a classic tasting here because this is not a classic whiskey. I’m not really sure how to rate this. I felt more like I was drinking a cocktail rather than a drink. It is surprisingly sweet and then a nice warm tobacco flavor hits. Not too much, just enough. I actually really liked it but again, don’t count this as a whiskey. Three stars, I guess. -
Wild Turkey Master's Keep Revival
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 19, 2018 (edited January 2, 2019)Nose-Vanilla in spades. Body- Fruit notes come through immediately with vanilla and ends in a very prominent black pepper spice. This is definitely a tongue tingler. Finish- Vanilla gives way to some rye spice notes. Second best WT I have had. -
Weller Antique 107 Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 14, 2018 (edited April 12, 2019)Nose- This is my favorite part. Floral notes of vanilla and brown sugar are very present. I think this may be the best smelling bourbon that I have had the privilege of sniffing. Body- Nicer than the 90 proof Weller. (Not that it is bad!) Vanilla and brown sugar sweetness are immediately present. Only after this do you get warmer spice notes of caramel and baking spices. The green apple is certainly there but not as prominent as in the WSR. Finish- Long, silky finish. The caramel comes through here and coats the tongue. This is another tongue tingler but ironically the higher proofing mellows the finish and eliminates much of the bitterness present in WSR. This is tastiest wheated bourbon I have had to this point. Of course, I have not had the 12 year yet... Cheers Tropical Storm Flo! Now calm your ass down. Edited 7-23-19 -
Nose- Cinnamon and baking spices with a hint of orange zest. Body- The orange zest sweetness comes through first, then baking spices of cinnamon and clove. Finally a strong black pepper bite finishes the sip. These three flavors get progressively stronger. Finish- Short. The black pepper fades to some floral grass notes and finally an oaty sweetness. Nice overall. Finish is a bit weak but nice flavors in the body. Definitely a spicy bourbon.
