Delightful nose with subtle baking spice, red wine, citrus, honey and malt notes. Feels thick and weighty on the palate with all the same notes as the nose, the citrus note turn to orange peel. The finish starts with a blast of bitter herbs but become a slow, simmering, long spiced wine note.

A nice little bit of vanilla, honey and malt on the nose, a lot of ethanol if you dig too deep. Same notes on the palate with a lot of heat. Finish is long with contrasting bitterness and saccharine sweetness. Thanks to @ContemplativeFox for the sample.

Batch 3, 60.4 ABV Not much on the nose, more ethanol than there are light apple, pear and vanilla notes. Viscous, creamy and spicy on the palate with the same light fruits and vanilla. Finish is long! Spicy and warming, probably the best part of this whiskey. An ice cube mutes the ethanol, intensifies the fruit notes, and accentuates the viscosity, especially as the ice melts. Nice!

Distiller review No. 700 2021 edition. Sweet sherry and mild peat, malted chocolate, toffee, vanilla, honey, restrained, very balanced, long finish with all the same notes. More subdued and subtle than the 16.

Crème brulee, light oak, vanilla, orange zest, caramel, brown sugar, baking spices, lemon bar, somewhat rich, full and spicy, a bit of astringency, but not enough to detract from a fine whiskey.

Light oak, ginger bread, vanilla, baking spices and citrus. Some youth and astringency detracts from an otherwise good, interesting whiskey. Retaste 1-29-22 Astringency is gone, it actually tastes more mature now, quite delicious in fact. Nose and flavor profile remain mostly unchanged, but added some creme brulee. Bumped 1/2 point.

First pour with an ice cube, second neat. Both were excellent! Thick, oily, rich and full! Burnt brown sugar, baking spices, figs, oak, butterscotch, toffee, heat is subdued, but definitely there. What a whiskey!

Supple, light and almost airy, yet spicy with vanilla, barrel char, baking spices, creme brulee, toffee, caramel and hints of citrus. An ice cube tempered the spice to right within my range. A grassy note, which I did not like, came on late in the finish.
