What the 1783 lacks in complexity it makes up for in price. Fairly well balanced bourbon that is exactly what one expects a decent example of the type should be. A great mixer and versatile. At the going rate of $23 1783 should be a staple of a home cocktail bar, if it is not everything a seasoned sipper demands.

Beautiful flavor with a surprisingly floral tail that is refreshing and exciting. Wonderful whiskey but not quite wonderful enough for its high price.

A bit too sweet, all those years don't mellow the black label enough to justify its $120 price.

Nice rounded bourbon that punches above its $30 price.
