Tastes

Caramel and oak on the nose. Taste is really smooth and the double oak comes out nicely. Starts out buttery sweet with caramel and butterscotch. Moves into Smokey oak with a little spice towards the finish. Very solid offering.

Nose of caramel, vanilla, oak and maybe citrus. Taste is sweet, the vanilla comes in quick and has a really nice taste to it. It stays creamy and moves into a butterscotch with some caramel and finishes with a hint of spice. Quite tasty, I’m rather surprised.

Apple and citrus on the nose. Initial citrus on the taste that moves into oatmeal, apple, honey, vanilla and a bit of spice and maybe some tobacco. Finish lingers nicely. Decent but probably a little expensive for the taste.

Mellow nose, apple, toffee, oak, smoke. Taste starts out with toffee and apple but quickly moves to spice and makes you know it’s there. Decent.

Leather, nuts and caramel on the nose. Oak, tobacco, and spice on the taste. A bit of heat towards the end and the flavors linger well on the finish. The complexity is nice, solid bourbon.

I want to revisit this again but it was very similar to Buffalo Trace on my first taste. Nose was standard caramel, toffee, oak, but nice and sweet. Taste started sweet and oily into caramel and then finished with spice and a little heat. Initial taste was slightly less interesting than BT but very good.

Nose is "smooth", not sure how that works for a smell but it does, muted nose compared to the black but has honey and caramel there. VERY smooth, has a creamy feel, caramel taste, very little to no burn and super easy to drink. Comparing it to the black the flavors feel similar but a bit muted which probably contributes to why it's so smooth, they might just be slightly overshadowed by the black on a side by side. Very good, probably not worth the price premium but quite enjoyable. It's hard to believe it's 80 proof with how easy it is to drink.

Very interesting nose of caramel and oak. Taste matches and moves into a little spice but nice balance. Some butter on the finish. Solid option.

Simple nose of oak and maple. Maple, oak and vanilla on the taste. Bit of spice jumps in towards the end but not overkill for 100 proof although a little hotter than some. Very flavorful and a solid choice.

Very good Irish. Toffee, woody and sweet on the nose. Very smooth and the toffee flavor comes through with some peat. Finish is slightly sweet with oak. Very pleasant.
