Glenmorangie Lasanta Sherry Cask Finish 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed April 29, 2020 (edited August 6, 2020)The aroma of the Sherry Cask finish leaps out of the glass. Hints of red grapes, raspberries, graham cracker and a heavy note of honey. The sweetness rolls through on the palate with a burnt sugar on the front end followed by a bitter dark chocolate and a black pepper finish65.0 USD per Bottle -
Jefferson's Reserve Pritchard Hill Cabernet Cask Finish
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed April 17, 2020Sweet aroma on the nose. The Cabernet casking is front and center. Ripe berries, grapes and honey with vanilla overtones on the nose. A rather thin texture given the richness of its scent. Cinnamon and oak on the palate. Where the smell is sweet the taste is spicy and dry. Pretty smooth, the spice is in the taste not a burn. A minty taste on the finish.72.0 USD per Bottle -
Highland Park 12 Year Viking Honour
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed March 27, 2020 (edited April 5, 2020)On the nose it’s very sweet. The sherry cask aroma is prominent. The peat is there, lingering in the background but it is on its own different from the smoke most of us are accustom to. The Orkney Peat is much lighter, airy and heathery I suppose than its Islay brethren. On the palate, flavors of honey and vanilla with a twist of citrus spritz. A good texture with a warm slightly fiery finish that has some legs.63.0 USD per Bottle -
On the nose A peat filled smoke hits you up front. It’s moss and twig aroma is as if to have been soaked in salt water. There’s light fruit on the aroma as well but the brine makes it difficult to label specifically. On the palate, it’s oily in texture, smooth and fresh. Tastes of honey and apple, sea salt and spice. Delightfully long finish that builds as it lingers. Damn! This stuff is good.65.0 USD per Bottle

Glenfiddich IPA Experiment
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed February 20, 2020 (edited September 6, 2021)A very light and fruit forward aroma. Citrus notes up front with pears, apples, and vanilla. Typical Speyside profile on the palate. Honey, lemon, and pears with a white pepper spice. Good texture but a short finish. The IPA hops and bitterness are subtle, I was expecting more depth to this novelty casking. A good whiskey, but an overpriced whisky . If it was $40 instead of $65 it would be a go to summer dram.65.0 USD per Bottle -
Old Forester 100 Proof Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 4, 2020 (edited March 22, 2020)On the nose, sweet hints of vanilla and cherry with a slight touch of ginger. On the palate, caramel apple, creme brûlée, whipped cream and a proper spice and warmth on the finish. Great Value!30.0 USD per Bottle -
Biased review. Have never seen this bourbon ANYWHERE for sale. Got my hands on a bottle from a family member and the exclusivity may have clouded my judgement. On the nose, cherry, syrup, vanilla and oak. A rich aroma. On the palate, very spicy with an upfront bang of cayenne pepper with intermediate periods of pomegranate and cherry with a very woody flavor. The cayenne comes full circle in a spicy finish!
