Kirkland 20 Year Speyside Single Malt Sherry Cask Finish
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed November 1, 2019 (edited August 3, 2020)Man I wanted to really like this. Kirkland brand usually makes great products at a discount. 20 year kirkland for 55 bucks sounded really good. My high expectations led to a bit of disappointment. I thought other whiskies around the same price taste better. The Kirkland has a bit of a bite to it; It is not as smooth as I expected. There are lots of flavors in this blend, so not bad. It seemed to me more like a Johnnie walker blend. -
Baileys Original Irish Cream
Dairy/Egg Liqueurs — Ireland
Reviewed September 17, 2019 (edited March 12, 2020)Know what you are getting with this... It has good memories for me with some ice and good company. It has some sweetness that can warm the insides. It is not though a great whisky. It is a dessert like whisky that is made for the mass of consumers providing a drinkable whisky at a cheap price. It has a place on ice cream and chilled, but I would not drink it straight.15.0 USD per Bottle -
It is an everyday whisky that is easy to find. It has hints of peat and smokiness. There are flavors from the mixture of several whiskies, so your taste buds can get excited from some floral, sweet, spicy and woody flavors. It is not overwhelming and pleasant to drink. It also has a feel of a mass produced whisky.40.0 USD per Bottle

Balvenie The Week of Peat 14 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed September 17, 2019 (edited June 25, 2020)If peat is what you like, then this is the one. It has a very intense smoke flavor and smell. My wife took a whiff and coughed. The smell has a powerful note coming out of the glass- no need to immerse your nose into the glass. Once you taste it, it seems to have a party in your mouth. There are lots of things going on with this. You can taste the smoke, the wood, some spice and it stays with you. Even after a taste, it will send your tastebuds to a new level and they don't want to stop. The next day I was surfing and I could still taste the smoke. I also tasted seaweed and brine- I was in the ocean, but I related it to the whisky. An excellent whisky that seems to be on a different level of intensities than many others. It is one of the best I have had.90.0 USD per Bottle -
It is not your usual whisky, but not bad. Your expectations need to be altered to enjoy it. My first taste was somewhat unpleasant, because I was not expecting what I was getting. It had a saki flavor and a flower like smell- not a usual whisky. It had no peat smokiness or wood taste. My second try, I was ready. I enjoyed the smoother refreshing taste. I visualized clean running spring water. A light delicate whisky with flavors of rice and may be blossoms?30.0 USD per Bottle

Macallan 12 Year Sherry Oak Cask
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed September 17, 2019 (edited January 13, 2021)An excellent whisky. I enjoy the sweet aroma with the hint of spice taste. It leaves a very pleasant aftertaste and wanting more. The flavor seems to grow after a taste as you let it down your throat. It opens up the lungs and feels warm inside with a slight woody smooth aftertaste. Yummy!60.0 USD per Bottle
