Nose: oak and ethanol. Vanilla and toffee intermingle to add some refreshing sweetness Palate: lots of oak, notes of vanilla and toffee notes persist through the oak. Not a sweet bourbon but not in a bad way Finish: more oak, peanuts, some dried cherries. Some noticeable heat that lets you know you're still sampling a barrel proof bourbon

Reviewed August 5, 2021 (edited October 2, 2021)Nose: ethanol heat, notes of caramel and cherry intermingle for a pleasant smell once the ethanol comes off Palate: an explosion of cherry! Surprisingly little heat given the nose. Caramel follows with a touch of vanilla Finish: Theres the heat! Not surprising with a 135 proofer. After the scorch, a pleasant oak remains behind to entice another taste
