Wolfburn Northland
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed December 20, 2019 (edited December 29, 2019)Enjoyed this and would seek this distillery out in the future once it gets rolling. Nose suggests some peat and spice and front of the tongue soothes you with a pleasant coating of fruit and butter. Then an intense spicy surge hits and flames out quickly into a warm subtle aftertaste. -
Glenfarclas 21 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed December 20, 2019 (edited February 3, 2021)Excellent dram. Light fruit, honey and floral notes greet the nose. Rich smooth spice in the middle with a nice gentle but enduring oaky finish. This is the best glenfarclas I’ve had yet but really enjoy the whole range. 10 might still be my go to when the price is factored in. -
Bunnahabhain Stiùireadair
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed December 20, 2019 (edited May 20, 2020)Potent. Young. Briny. Coats the mouth. Spicy. Light fruit. Overall I enjoyed the dram but not sure I’d enjoy the bottle. -
Glenfarclas 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed December 10, 2019 (edited December 29, 2019)Very smooth. Caramel layered on top of a floral meadow. Finish fades away as smoothly as it came. I’ve had the 12 and 10 and think I prefer the wood notes and mild spice of the 10 over this. -
