Best to let it breathe a little before tasting. It starts out with floral notes. Then you get so real barbecue and then finishes off with some real spice. There are big notes of clay and minerals. Not sure I like that. I have to admit that the complexity grows on you. It seems every time you taste it something different comes through. Definitely worth a try.

Evan Williams Single Barrel
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed April 10, 2017 (edited January 13, 2018)The standard caramel and vanilla notes that you'd expect from a good bourbon. Nice long finish. I was sampling the 2009 Barrel 316. Looking at the other comments about earlier versions, I think this 2009 may not be up to the same standard.
