St. George Baller Single Malt Whisky
American Single Malt — California, USA
Reviewed February 11, 2021 (edited April 14, 2021)Very floral and fruity. Doesn’t register in my brain as a whiskey. More like some kind of liqueur or strange gin. Smoke/spice/sweet dried fruits takes me to dinners with Vietnamese relatives. -

Kilkerran 12 Year
Single Malt — Campbeltown, Scotland
Reviewed January 13, 2021 (edited February 4, 2021)Nose: peat takes a back seat to malt and honey. Sweet and floral. Palate: Peat jumps out of the back seat and into the drivers seat. Honey is gone but short bread cookies jumped in. -
Loch Lomond Original
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed January 5, 2021 (edited April 26, 2022)Solid baseline scotch. Nose is typical malt, slight ferment funk, slightly floral. Supposedly peated but I think even if you hate peat you would be hard bent to pick it out. Taste slightly sweet and typical single grain taste. Very middle of the road. Tiny bit of heat on the tongue. There is nothing offensive. What is there is pleasant and easy going but not one to blow your skirt up.
