Gentle nose, pleasantly dry and rough up front, with a quick, sweet finish that’s nutty, licorice-like, and medicinal before fading to alcohol. Oily on the tongue. The strong sherry influence makes it a surprising and unique whisky, and one that’s worth a try, but repeated tastings don’t add much to the experience. The sherry flavor is doing most of the work in this particular group project, and an otherwise average grain whisky is lucky for it.
