French whiskey — who knew? Kind of sweet, kind of fruity, kind of medicinal, kind of unique whiskey profile. It leans more toward Canadian whiskey with a touch of brandy. It’s a lighter cousin of Sexton, the Irish brandy. Definitely nice chilled and shared with a couple of friends. Not bad, not great. The fruit taste does remain. Maybe mix with a light ginger ale. Goes well with California rolls.

Not an exceptional rye. A bit heavy on the rye on initial taste and very dry. Needs more character — one-dimensional to me. Took a while to finish the bottle.

Buttery and spicy with just enough rye. Enough burn afterwards. Good with southern BBQ pork chops, Memphis ribs or a good crayfish broil.

Definitely can taste the blackberry and it is definitely sweet. There’s no bite to the whiskey. Great mixed with iced tea or as a dessert whiskey. Drinkable but won’t win any awards on complexity.

Definitely a smokey scotch whiskey but more in the nose than the mouth. As a whiskey, there’s no bite and lacks character. Probably good with a cheap cigar. This scotch could probably benefit with more aging.

It’s like if brandy and Irish whisky married. It’s surprisingly good. Need something gamey or meaty to pair alongside it as venison, bison or corned beef, leaning on the rare to medium rare side of things.

Won’t win any contests for complexity. It’s my go-to honey whiskey since it’s more whiskey with honey than a honey whiskey as in the Wild Turkey version. There is a slight whiskey burn. The bottle is cheap and affordable.
