Laphroaig 10 Year
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed January 27, 2018 (edited February 22, 2018)A thing of beauty. Peaty, smoky, iodiny, earthy, briney on the nose, on the palate a smoothness divine, with a finish of burnt log. The lingering finish is an affair of some 30 minutes' duration, offering a comforting sensation, where you can sense the elements described above, especially the smokiness, on the retrohale. Outstanding. -
Teacher's Highland Cream
Blended — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed January 26, 2018 (edited August 3, 2019)A pleasantly well-peated blended whisky, heather and honey on the nose, and dark cherries on the palate, mildly sweet, and dark chocolate in the finish, which is a bit short. This is a $26 whisky in Ontario (750ml), and that's a phenomenal value. A very solid 3/5.
