Nose: Soft and smooth Pallet: You can taste the wheat and it softens the flavor. Vanilla and the sweetness of the barrel are what come through. Finish: Falls a little short but not unpleasant. Perhaps a bit sour in this pour. For $30 this would be a great daily drinker, if you could find it. I’d pay $50 for this bottle, I get the Weller hype but there are better choices out there but they do cost more. Just wish there was more available.

10 mocha staves Nose: Smooth with a clean spice to it. Makes you want to keep trying it to try a pin point the different aromas. Pallet: It gets warm on the tongue Finish: This is where the chocolate come in and all the way through the finish. Very unique. You have to let it sit and breath, then all of the flavor comes out. Could only get one bottle but wish there was another.

Nose: Strong and sweet Pallet: Spice notes with hints of caramel, there is a warmness that develops. There is a thickness as you work through the tongue. Finish: It ends with a warm spice The nose is best part about this pour. It’s not overly complex for a 12 year old. Will need to try it again to see if I’m more impressed for the second round.

Nose: Light and sweet with just a hint of bourbon Pallet: notes of oaks and honey Finish: A sweetness that ends with a tingle. 7 years and 90 proof makes this a smooth pour. This is my first wheat whiskey and I like it. Will have to try this in an old fashion but for now I’m enjoying this neat. This one needs a barrel proof!

Just not good. Can’t place nose or flavor but I just don’t like it.

Nose: Bourbon singe and it’s nice Pallet: bitty on the front and light on the tongue rest of the tongue, barrel notes and sugar. Finish: Spice that turns to sweet Gifted a bottle from a friend, not available in Michigan. This is a good bottle, at 100 proof it has a bit and the 10 years gives it character.

Kroger 2020 Store Pick Nose: Dry spice Pallet: Sweet, turns dry on the second round. Can’t place the spice flavor note Finish: Again sweet and turns to cinnamon with a long lasting effect. I’ve purchased 6 bottles of this pick this year. Interested in what they pick for next year.

TJ’s Market Store Pick 2020 Nose: Light Pallet: Peppery Finish: Cinnamon with some heat This pick tasted as it was described. Neat, I prefer the standard EC.

Nose: Woody Pallet: Smooth and a sappy char Finish: Burned caramel This was tasted along with 2 EC store picks and the B520. In the mix, the $20 extra over the store picks doesn’t help it but still enjoyable and good for conversation.
