First time with a scotch like this Subtle briney nose. Some smoke. Palette: set upfront. Does not drink its proof. More brine and heavy smoke, apricot and bacon, finish is smoky and like a lemon soaked in salt.

Bottle 671 of 3046. 117 proof Nose: smoke, caramel, licorice, grassy notes Palette: velvety, smoky corn, hickory, some vanilla bean and something i cant place, reminds me of new orleans cooking. Sweet rye finish that sticks around, long and dry.

Nose: very soft, banana, burnt caramel Palette: sweet spearmint very soft. More chocolate, not floral, medium length finish.

Nose: soft floral nose Palette: chocolate forward, great thick body, concentrated brown sugar, some spicy pepper in the back palette, long finish with more brown sugar, some cinnamon, and frosted flakes. Maybe a hint of sweet orange as well.

Jims great four roses at 12.3 yr! Nose: too windy to get much Palette: so smooth, fruity, soke sweetness, graham cracker, i’d say an OE boend. Caramel and cinnamon, long finish with a hint of spice. Excellent. Subtle vanilla comes in.

Nose: butterscotch strong! Palette: super sweet and marshmallow! Well balanced with a hint of rye spice in the finish. Veey good!

Nose: funky sweet. Caramel and lemongrass? Something in there i cant place. Palette: super loght but sweet up front, heavy chocolate notes in there, dark chocolate, that funky note in the nose is in the mid palette, slight graham cracker and cinnamon, i want to say fennel bulb, but not peppery. The finish is long with some sweet notes, buy very dry. Lots of tannins. Ah, that mystery note i am picking up is popular in several colorado whiskeys i have tried that were only aged a year or two. This experiment can lead one to believe that if a distllery put 130 potato distillate into oak, you might get a whiskey profile. Veey interesting.

Nose of sweet caramel and cinnamon, herbal notes. Palette: full bodied and sweet, but sweet black licorice. Proof takes over on the mid palette, but can pull out cotton candy, marshmallow. More cinnamon on the back end, good body, medium length finish with red hots.

Heavy rye nose with dill or oregano Palette: smooth vanilla and carmel, strong earthy backbone. Finish is medium length with some oak and more sweet vanilla.

Swirl in the glen cairn looks like Christmas lights haning. Light copper color. Nose: bright citrus. Subtle smoke. Slight cereal and earthy. Palette: sweet, char, marshmallow, there is a citrus bite, some pepper on the finish. Chewing opens up the EC grain flavor, like cereal, graham cracker. Oily finish, with some pepper, long oaky finish. Water brings out more of the oak and rye. Sweet corn and chocolate.
