Santis malt sweet fruity floral caramel, sugar, low pepper 3.75 mid pepper, oaky, dry, fruit green apple, 1.75 oaky dry 1.75 2.25 SANTIS MALT SWISS ALPINE WHISKY APPENZELLER SINGLE MALT EDITION HIMMELBERG 43% swiss whisky Produced at the Brauerei Locher, close to the border with Liechtenstein, the Säntis Malt team has combined whisky matured in its signature beer casks (the site’s brewing history dates back to the 1800s) with liquid aged in a variety of wine barrels for this release, Edition Himmelberg. The result? A deliciously fruity Swiss whisky underpinned with those tasty cereal notes endemic in beer-influenced drams. sweetness, very delicate and light on the nose but the flavour profile is distinct enough to appreciate, sweet cotton candy, sweet red fruits 3.75 it taste nothing like whisky to be frank, and has a hint of malt and bitterness dryness to it, flat and the taste is lacking and you do not get the complexity in it and taste closer to a flat beer, a little raisin notes, light cream, mild peppery - i mean it is an easy drink but not for the people that prefers a complex wholesome whisky 1.25 nutty, mid sustained on the oaks 2.25 2.25 let me tell you that this will appear on my bar just because of the unique cask that it has been in -

heat peppery, grain-corn, sweetness, thick and creamy 3 the more i drink the more i like it because you get huge complexity with this and its a very thick heavy substance, very heavy pepper2 thick brown sugar burnt caramel 2 this is actually quite a nice one to have for a bar variant but it might not be a everyday drink just an exploratory drink 2.5 metallic, coarse, grainy like you get with all grain-type whisky, if you look past that and dont compare with barley you get some smooth artifical sweetness 2.5 very sharp, a rough cowboy taste, bitterness, oaky 1 residuals oily, oaky, sustained 1 1.5 couldn't even finish the whisky, bringing it down to 1 knob creek bourbon small batch abv 50% 2nd try metallic waxy, grainy, dry, mild pepper burn, typical corn smelling 1.5 corn sweetness, peppery and intense bitterness, nutty and bitterness 1.5 oaky, corn 1.5 1.5 Knob creek bourbon small batch ABV 50% - metallic, typical tennanese style of smell, floral grassy, mid-high sharpness peppery, like in the fields in the morning where its raw grass dewy smell, musky, vanilla 2 - this to me is the definition of "medicinal" and nothing like the Islay types of whisky, rock hard and raw, raw corn-like and you definitely taste the difference between this and a barley variant, very interesting flavour that hits different parts of your mouth. This gives you a sweeter inclination compared to barley single malts, but yet it doesn't seem as delicate and refine as the scottish 2 oaky, oily, waxy, sustained 2 2

Paul John Brilliance Single Malt
Single Malt — Goa, India
Reviewed August 27, 2020 (edited May 23, 2021)Paul John Brilliance 46% Produced by John Distilleries in Goa, India, the Paul John range of single malt whiskies (named after their Chairman) represents a move into premium spirits for a company who are already big players in the Indian molasses 'whisky' market. Made using Indian 6-row barley from the Himalayan foothills, Brilliance is matured in bourbon barrels for 3-5 years before bottling at cask strength. (As with Amrut, the tropical climate cause greater evaporation, around 12-13% a year, but in turn they show very well at younger ages.) Champagne, sweetness, grapes, caramel sweetness, mild pepper 3.75 Sweetness hits you straightaway on the front, you get a little peppery note on the nose, nutty, balance it is not dry and a very thick creamy smoothness, sweetness, peanut butter. As you continue to take more, you get an overwhelming numbing of the nose, waxy, oily, chewy caramel - i feel a prolong drink of this beyond the 2nd sip will make you disappointed 1.5 Oaky, and quite a sustained note 2 2.25 -
Penderyn Myth Welsh whisky 2nd try nail polish, slight sweetness, sharp, fruity and a little floral 1.25 light mellow, heaty, vanilla oaky 2 mid sustained 2 1.5 Since selling their first product in 2004, the Penderyn Distillery has remained the most prominent distillery in the region. Their still is a custom-built copper pot that can reach a staggering 92% ABV on the first run; hence, why Penderyn is one of the few single distilled whiskies from the UK. The Myth is part of the brand's "Welsh Dragon" range of 41% ABV expressions, along with Celt and Legend. It departs from the distillery's house-style of ex-Madeira wine cask-finishing, solely using ex-bourbon American oak to showcase the natural flavors of the whisky without the Madeira wine influence. The whisky is non-chill filtered and bottled at 41% ABV. delicate, sweet sugary, low pepper, not much distinct nose notes, caramel 2.75 fruity punch you get hit with passion fruit, pears, apples, but it sort of fade away quicky, light pepper, creamy, malty cereal 2.75 not sustained 2 2.5 Penderyn Myth Welsh Whisky ABV 41% Sweet corn-smelling (seems to be the distinct character of English whisky), this is more delicate than Penderyn Celt but its quite a lovely softness and floral - peppery on near nosing 3 Apple, pear that are unriped, not much sweetness but a very clean tasting whisky, you get a hint of oak, not much complexity compared to the Celt, slight peppery as well towards the back of the throat 2.25 Oaky, dry - mid sustain 2.25 2.5
