I suggest you just stick to the single malt) for that reason, downgrading it down to 2.75 unless it is CHEAPER than lap 10

Tried at Margaret’s and the taste was not as off putting. It could be that the previous two batch was older. But any case I give it 2.75 for the better flavour KAVALAN SOLIST OLOROSO SHERRY SINGLE CASK STRENGTH -2ND TRY- WHISKY COLOR IS AMAZING, A GOOD CENTER-PIECE FOR A BAR, TRULY. DRIED RAISINS AND A STRONG CHEMICAL RAISIN SMELL, BUT YOU DEFINITELY GET HIT WITH RED FRUITS BUT EXCEEDINGLY STRONG WITH A STRONG METALLIC PRESENCE. MILD SWEETNESS. REMINDS ME A LOT LIKE THE BUBBLE BALLOONS THAT YOU BLOW WITH THOSE SHORT LITTLE STICKS WHEN YOU PLAYED AS A KID - GLUEY 2.5 CREAMY, MALTY, CHOCOLATE, BIG HIT OF BITTERNESS FEELS LIKE THE SHERRY CASK HAD A HUGE HUGE INFLUENCE ON IT TO THE POINT OF TANNINS, THE AFTER EFFECT OF THE BITTERNESS IS QUITE OFF-PUTTING FOR ME, ITS A RESIDUAL TASTE THAT DOESN'T GET WASHED AWAY AND KILLS THE ENJOYMENT OF A FINE WHISKY, ARTIFICIAL SUGARY TASTE 0.25 OAKY, AND SUSTAINED BITTERNESS 0.25 1 KAVALAN SOLIST OLOROSSO SHERRY CASK 57.1% IMmense darkness in the color, incredible sherry casking over here. Never seen a darker one before. Cherry, raisins is most distinct, raspberries, cranberry, mild to mid pepper 3 Full bodied and very rich in Cherry, sweetness, raisin, very sweet like almost a kind of wine, at the back you will get a hit of oaky with slight bitterness and dark chocolate, quite a flat oakiness and it taste a little like a cherry sweet (not a good thing for me) 2 oaky, long-mid sustainance 1 Overall, a very interesting taste since this deviates FAR from whisky, like a dessert wine instead. 2 (its A GOOD ADDITION TO THE BAR FOR VARIETY OF TASTEBUDS, BUT I WONT PERSONALLY BUY IT FOR MYSELF)

3rd try roast meat, mid pepper, 3 oaky, bitter, dry 1 peaty smokey 2.5 2 ARDBEG UIGEADAIL - 2ND TRY - First launched in 2003, Ardbeg Uigeadail [Oog-a-dal] is a marriage of some young and some very old oloroso sherry aged single malt along with Ardbeg aged in ex-bourbon barrels. The name Uigeadail means "a dark, mysterious place." Fun to say and even more fun to drink. It is also the name of the loch from which Ardbeg gets its water. Bottled at cask strength with no age statement. RICHER IN COMPLEXITY, YOU DONT GET THE HIT OF SOOT AS ALL ARDBEG DO. COLOR IS DARKER AS WELL, MID PEPPER, PEAR, LEMON 3 ARDBEG 10 FLAVOUR-LIKE, PEPPERY ON FRONT AND BACK, YOU GET MORE OAKINESS THAN ANYTHING, I DO NOT HIT ANY OF THE PREVIOUS FRUITY NOTES, A LOT OF BITTER SOOT, I THINK THAT THE OLD OLOROSSO SHERRY CASK DOES MINIMAL IMPACT TO THIS. GIVING IT A WHILE AFTER THE FIRST HIT AND YOU GET MORE PLEASANT NOTES- YOU GET MORE CHOCOLATE-Y, MALT AND THIS OFFSET THE PREVIOUS INITIAL BURST OF ARDBEG-10-ISH FLAVOR 2.75 OAKY AND LONG SUSTAIN SMOKE 2 2.5 TO 2.25 WOULD I BUY IT FOR A PREMIUM, UM NO, BECUASE AN ARDBEG 10 GIVES ME ALMOST SIMILAR. Ardbeg Uigeadail 54.2% Citrus, smokey, smooth sweetness, vanilla, oaky, mid-high pepper, apricot, 3.5 Acidic, burns, raw bitter heat, sharp on the back of the throat, a kick of sulphuric ash into your throat 0 oaky, bitter, very long but not pleasant - choking 1 1.5
