JOHNNIE WALKER BLACK LABEL 1970 40-43% - 2ND TRY - spicy note, caramel, creamy malt, liken this to walking into a abandoned cottage where you get a sense of nice woodiness that has been roasted in the heat of the summer. JOHNNIE WALKER BLACK LABEL MODERN 40% - 2ND TRY - I compared these with the 1970s JW, Much more complexity than the 1970 bottling, and probably a result of change in people's preference. This is a lot more wholesome, sweeter, plural, raisins, floral, slight spiciness 2.5 Compared to the nosing, the flavor is lacking, very plain nutty, rancit woodiness, dry malt 0.5 Oaky 1 2.25 Peppery, Sharp, sherry 2.5 Cinnamon 2.75 Sweet smooth 2.5 2.5

DEWAR'S WHITE LABEL 1970 40-43% - 2ND TRY - More wholesome compared to the modern label, this one has lighter pepper, vanilla, oaky 2.25 Peppery burn, the taste note is not as deep as the modern version, floral, shallow raisin, artifical sugar, plastic metallic OBE effect is very distinct 1.5 Oaky and OBE is very distinct for me 2 1.75 1970s Caramel, delicate l, slightness in pepper 3.25 Weak and delicate, it breaks apart in your mouth 2.5 Smooth gentle, zero peat 2.5 Overall a nice easy drink for ladies who hate the whisky taste 2.75
