Tastes

The port influence is subtle to me and this is very much a bourbon. For me unfortunately that tends to be a bad thing, found it a little too spicy and astringent for my liking but again, just not a big bourbon fan. Found the rye signifcantly better and more palatable, the sweetness from the rum cask really mellowing out the intense bourbon flavors.

Did a side by side with 107 and preferred 107! Just a tiny bit hot.

Straight up one of my all time fave bourbons. Sweet honey niceness. Includes what reminds me of milk chocolate. Addictive and delicious.

I should probably stop reviewing bourbons since i dont really like bourbons. This one has more hints of rye than others, definitely a spicy vibe to this. Like a spicy cough syrup

Little more balanced than christmas edition, but also therefore a little less peaty and strong. Nice smooth backbone to this one.

Big fan of this. Massively peaty, with some of those medicinal flavors that remind me of laphroig. Ends with a distinct nutty note. Clearly a younger spirit but that makes the peat flavor really shine.
