Man kind of blown away this is such a young spirit. The nose is incredible, some butter scotch, fruit and floral notes without being too sweet. Palette is similar, with a noticeable spicy sizzle at the end. Having trouble determining if that sizzle is caused by the high abv or the barrel, though. Holds its proof well, barely feels like a 60%!

I like the sherry in this, but theres a noticeable harshness that you dont get from the standard macallan offerings. This one needs a few drops of water, which is odd, as i never need to drop water in a 60% octomore…

Ok this is bomb. Noticeably less peaty than a standard octomore, the age has clearly chilled it out. However in its place has come a little more tannin from the extra barrel time and perhaps a little more sweetness. Id take the 13.2 over this but im a sherry head. Still totally delicious

Maybe a little dry for my palette? Not too sweet, some real oak burn at the end, very dry and tannic. Dont get the hype on this one.

Im usually a scotch guy so this is a pretty dang high review from me. Very rich flavor, sweet vanilla, generally dig this.
