Smoky but smooth and even a little sweet on the palate. Definitely getting the salt and maybe a little meats but not the chocolate personally. It’s good just personally prefer the sharper/harsher brands with the peat.
The classic Ardbeg nose, seaweed, rubber, metal. Light straw color. Oily, thick rich, big sour end note. While it's not the barbecue forest fire of Uigeadail, it still holds its own well.

Islay. Natural Color. Non-Chill Filtered.
I was honestly expecting more of a beast but again Ardbeg pulls off embracing the flavor of the peat and wrapping it in aromas and flavors that compliment the smoke and mossiness. Very worthwhile at its price point.

I give this a 4.5 because I’ve finally found the peaty punch in the jaw I’ve been looking for. I still prefer Laph 10 or Laga 16 more regularly, but this one is inexpensive, very tasty and a nice ABV
Doing an head to head with Ardbeg 10. So be sure to check out that tasting too.
nose is lighter on the air. A little camphor and iodine. Sweeter and rich dark fruits.
Palate. Smoke obviously from the peat. rich and light chocolate.
Nice finish.
