Arran Sauternes Cask Finish Single Malt

Smells like an orange liqueur or elderflower liqueur. Honey and sea salt. These are my dream after-dinner flavors. I brought 2 bottles home from their shop.

excellent wood management. touch sweetness from sauternes works extremely well with Arran’s basic fruity notes. nice easy-sipping dram

I really enjoyed this one. the sauternes cask brought about a lot of character, but still allowed the malt to shine through. It almost reminded me of champagne in a way that I felt like bubbles were dancing around in my mouth. A little higher abv helped keep this whisky interesting.

Extremely dry finish but it still has elements of the honey and nuts from the nose and palate. But not exactly subtle. 22-23-22-22=89
