The nose has hints of juniper with lavender floral undertones and a hint of peppery spice.
The gin is not harshly juniper-forward on the palate which really lets some of the floral and spice notes shine through that are present. The finish is primarily bitter orange peel with floral and juniper notes hanging on.
This gin sits in a unique position as a floral, American gin. In cocktails, this gin does not stand up to heavy amounts of citrus, but it pairs beautifully with herbal cocktails.
With that said, I think the marketing behind this is better than the drink, and that makes the gin cost more than it should.
