Blanton's Gold Edition

Similar aroma and flavor profile to regular blantons, just more pronounced and with slightly more viscosity. It's a nice bourbon, just maybe not worth $140+?

I could tell it was mash bill #2 off the nose. A little citrus woth a light vanilla and Caramel undertone. The pallete distinguishes itself from standard Blanton’s with it’s bigness. Floral notes grow in second and third tastings. But doesn’t depart much beyond that. Not much of greater finish and certainly not worth the nasty hunt in my mind.

N- candy apple- wet wood/grass- peppermint - P- similar- flat- weaker N- great - but short lived- needed a longer - growing burn- smooth- and satisfying- just too soft - short - more tobacco hete than with nose
