Blue Run Kentucky Straight High Rye Bourbon

Wow. I’m not typically big on rye, but this is fantastic. Lots of sweetness up front (brown sugar and caramel) and then the rye spiciness comes through. Really well-balanced, though

Leaves you wanting more. Very unique back, flavorful vanilla Carmel front.

Sharp on the nose, but very smooth. Nice rye character.

Kind of get some tobacco on the nose, spice, and ethanol. The pallet is good and spicy. Finishes warm with more spice. Can tell it’s younger but it’s fine. This is pretty good to very good. Might be rating it higher because of the name, but I’m not mad at the purchase.
