Bozal Mezcal Ancestral is a limited release mezcal produced and distributed by 3 Badge Mixology in Sonoma, California. It is made from cupreata agave that grows wild on the steep and rocky hillsides in Chilapa, Guerrero. To the locals, it is known as "maguey papalote." The ancestral process includes the use of the tahona to crush the agave, fermentation in the open air, and clay pot distillation. It is bottled at 47.9% ABV.
Mezcal JovenA spirit distilled from one or more different varieties of agave. Can only be produced in designated areas within 8 different Mexican states. Must be bottled in México. This is unaged or aged in stainless steel or plastic containers before bottling.
