Nose - Rich chocolaty/coffee/dark fruit malt, noticeable port or sherry influence.
Taste - Rich chocolaty fruitcake, light ginger spice, sweet dates, dark raisins, hint of espresso crema bittersweet. Very light mouthfeel.
Finish - Lingering dark dried fruit syrupy sweetness with a hint of light ginger spice.
Score - 90/100
Final Thoughts - Very pleasantly surprised by this dram. It's by no means a sherry or port bomb, but has nice notes of toasted barley, chocolate, and coffee, all notes which I enjoy in a single malt. It's a very "dark" tasting dram that isn't cloyingly sweet but has a nice balance of sweet and spice.
