Calumet Farm 15 Year Single Rack Black Bourbon

Vanilla with a sweet, smooth finish.

I did a side by side between this and Smoke Wagon uncut and unfiltered and Wow. Smoke Wagon UCUF is a favorite of mine but in comparison it really highlights what maturity can do. Calumet farms 15 year is simply a butterscotch oaky tobacco dream next to it. Very happy with it. Had neat about three fingers pour and sipped over a half hour. Cheers!

Neat. Nose is oaky spice with butterscotch notes. Taste is sweet oaky with a spicy finish. I get notes of cherry and baking spices. I also get a bandaid like note that I do in Joseph magnus. Not very pronounced but I pick it up a bit. I think it is pretty good. I had low expectations as I thought the 12 year was a drain pour.

Not as complex as I was hoping for

Toffee. Caramel. Butterscotch. Char. Some raw coconut on the finish? Fresh tobacco. Smooth for the abv.
