Reviewed November 28, 2018 (edited January 26, 2019)I'm sampling a 2018 release of the single barrel neatly. These bottles are sometimes difficult to find and each barrel will vary slightly. completely worth having it on your self though. COLOR: Deep golden honey. NOSE: Dried apricots, marmalade, vanilla, cherry juice, there is a lot of sweet complexity to the nose. TASTE: Coffee, brown sugar, tapioca pudding, burnt cheerios, I feel like I could spend the next 20 minutes pulling out crazy things from this barrel. BODY: coats very well with a medium body, very well balanced indeed. FINISH: Comes on strong and then melts like butter fading away and revealing additional flavors masked by the 100 proof up front. FINAL THOUGHTS: Absolutely delicious and worth finding again. Its smoothness, full flavor and complexity keeps me coming back to my glass. To my bourbon brothers out there... Reviewed November 23, 2018Color and nose are excellent. 100 proof is a great proof point for this. I really like this, but I’m still not sure it’s worth twice as much as the small batch. Time will tell in a blind taste.
