Tasted neat in a glencairne. Caramel and cola on the nose. Sweet notes preceed a distinct barrel note of charred oak.
Pepper, ginger and spice up front. Heat! A sweet mid pallette offers up some cherry cola notes. Long, peppery, capsaicin finish. Touch of lemon on the fade.
Delightful, even if it's somewhat Technicolor. There are a few things going on here, and they work!

Nose was boring and the only thing keeping this from being a 5 star. The taste blew me away with overwhelming sweetness. At first I was getting double bubble bubble gum and as my mouth got used to it that transitioned to chocolate. The spice isn’t overbearing and a perfect touch. The finish is short to medium with corn sweetness. This will be my new daily drinker. This bourbon was enjoyed neat as all bourbon should.
Bubble gum coats the tounge. Citrus hits, smooth vanilla, and rye. Ends with some toasty wood and smooth warmth of spices. Chew it and get some grass or hay. Not sweet, not spicy, not too hot...rich and warm. Chocolate flavors. Very good stuff. Tops of my sipping bourbon list currently. And in the $50-$60 range!
