Dalmore 18 Year

Flavor came across quite light actually. Almost citrusy and a little bitter and zesty

One of my favourite Dalmore drams. A lot of milk chocolate and oily peanuts from the ex-bourbon casks and still very fresh and fruity from the Sherry casks. Finishing with very pleasant sweetness.

I think i am mising something here. I waited to enjoy several drams before reviewing and this just comes up short. For the age and price point i expected much more. The nose is excellent but for me, thars where the positives end. Not enough sherry on the palate and pretty thin for me. At this level i was expecting a much richer flavorful experience. A disappointment for me.

After opening the bottle, be sure to let you breathe for at least 30 minutes. Otherwise, a very strong alcoholic aroma is felt. Then a smoky scent dominates the nose. The taste is rich with caramel and fruit. The aftertaste is long.
