Sweet and smooth. Not too big of a difference to the distillers edition.

Quite smooth and light

Du miel et des oranges deviennent un pain brioché avec qu’une pointe saline apparaisse en finale. Quelques épices (cardamome, cannelle, etc.) de la barrique sont également saupoudrées sur le palais en mi-gorgée. La finale est d’une longueur de moyenne durée, la texture est soyeuse, pas trop lourde et jamais mince. Il n’y à peu près aucune chaleur d’alcool, ce qui fait un whisky facile d’approche mais somme toute complexe et agréable à déguster.

A- solid whiskey. Smooth and sweet with some complexity

Big smoke, relative to what I typically sip. But I will say that this is doing the trick while sitting in front of the fire when it’s -34 outside.

Nose: Heavy honey with some caramel and possibly even stone fruit. Smells like a very sweet whiskey. Palate: Barrel notes start to kick in. A heavy leather flavor arrives full force. The honey is there, but in a smaller dose. Finish: Lingers in the front of the throat. A buttery sweetness coats the tongue as it goes down. Overall, this is a very good scotch. The sweetness is pleasurable without being cloying. However, this can definitely fall in the trap of being too heavy, especially with the honey notes. A good sipping scotch, especially for the price.
