David Nicholson Reserve Bourbon

Some ethanol,peanut, caramel and oak on nose. Good overall bourbon. Bought at distillery but can find at discount liquor in Jane, Missouri or sometimes midway in fayetteville.

Liked this better with a couple of drops of water to open it up. Too much spice and wood up front.

Medium finish, no nose notes, decent tongue coat

The nose is a perfect predictor of the palate here, which is earthy raw peanut. There's a kick of rye spice and herbal bitterness which lingers. This one is a bit hot and definitely not too smooth. This is not a boring flavor profile, but I'm not sure it's one that I love either. It'll take a few more pours before I can render my final verdict.
