Nose is woody sweet. Color is honey amber. It’s got a pretty light consistency. Easy on the tongue with sweet honey fruit and ethanol mix that is a little bitter. Short aftertaste. Light flavor throughout. It’s good for the price, but the EW single barrel and bottled in bond are much better.

Reading the reviews here and it seems that the word has got out on this one. I’ve been making this my go to for quite some time now. It’s the best bottle for the buck IMO. I used to think EW white label had that title but for a few bucks more you get a much better whiskey for the few extra dollars shelled out. Id almost venture out and say it’s better than the standard Elijah small batch with its very similar proof.

Blind tasted with Woodford doubled Oaked and angels envy port aged. This was #3. Has more mouth burn, nothing special to the flavor and had a lingering taste that turned me off slightly.
