This 13 yo is better than the 15. I have both. It has more contrast of flavors whereas the 15 is very tannic and finishes full bodied char. Old wine is the 15 yo without it having been insulted and debased by stupid Sherry casks. I wish that fad would disappear. Anyhow, I like these Dickels except the 13 edges out ahead of 15 due to it’s more interesting flavors that aren’t dominated by overpowering wood and char. Pick up a bottle and a redundant one for the price. You’ll like it. The 15 is a good one, too.

I'm really surprised that people aren't flocking to the stores to get this bottle. With this being a 13-year-old bottled and bond whiskey for under $50 this is something that you do not come across very often. And I must say after my first drink and after comparing it to the 2008 11 year bottled in bond I would say that this has quite a bit more flavor, depth, character and overall is a much more refined whiskey. I feel like this is an absolute steal! For the price, why would you not be looking to pick this up? This is delicious! One of the best bib whiskies out there. Stop hating on Dickel!

1oz. Pretty smooth. Finish was sometimes a little rough
